Letter from the Founders
It was a busy and exciting summer for us at DiaperFreeBaby. Since the Boston Globe published an article about EC and DiaperFreeBaby on the front page of the Living Section in early July, we have received a constant stream of requests for interviews from the media - television, newspaper, magazine, and even radio. Even more important, our worldwide membership has increased dramatically - the number of people participating in our Local Group online communities doubled since the Globe article. This is so exciting to us - to know that more and more people are aware of Elimination Communication as an option and that they are seeking out more information. When we introduce EC to parents we meet, many of them have already heard about EC and DFB.
The same week the Globe article was printed we received a letter from the IRS informing us that we have been approved as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. This means that any contributions made to DiaperFreeBaby since our incorporation (June 2004) are potentially tax deductible for the donors. We feel this is an extremely important step in our progress. Our next phase as an organization is to develop and fill some very important roles including the following: Fundraising, Mentor Coordination, Public Relations, Publications, Web Development, and more. If you'd like to be one of the people who helps DFB grow to our next level, please click here to contact the Volunteer Committee.
Many thanks to all of you who have supported DiaperFreeBaby and who continue to devote your time, energy, and money to helping us grow. We are excited to have you with us on this wonderful journey.
